(It’s so good we rate it 3 michelin stars! – The Bois, 2025)

A healthy boi (and girl) is a happy boi (and girl). We’ve decided to try probably the most premium cat food product out there. The Providore range. It’s advertised as a product made in New Zealand (where the grass is greener, the water is blue-er? and the skies are…you get my point) and air fried for ultimate health goodness.

If you see the ingredients on a normal restaurant menu, you would be happy with the selection: Chicken, Mussel, Venison organs!? All air dried into a…very nice smelling Jerky. We live along the lines of “if we think it smells good, the cats must think it smells and tastes good right?” And this definitely supports that case.

The problem with most toppers is they are what they describe…toppers only. This one somehow can manage both as a snack and topper that our bois genuinely love! We haven’t had to buy any more snacks for training because this acts as a 2-in-1 product.

The big plus for this product is their minimum 43% protein, fantastic for our carnivorous bois. It is moderately fat (26%) but best is very minimal carbohydrates, so in our eyes we view this as a very nutritious and Mario 1-up levels of energy. They also have a list of vitamins nearly as long as the alphabet but to us, those are just additional bonuses.

Price: These are no-where near cheap, and hard to find as well. Petbarn seems to be the only place selling them for a current price of $64 AUD for 1kg, more expensive then some steaks we have! But really price isn’t everything, and seeing our bois automatically accept and LOVE (like seriously we haven’t seen them like something so fast) makes it all the worth

Overall Quality: I think everything above says it all, smells absolutely amazing and I’m sure it tastes amazing (trust me, looking at those ingredients, I wanted to try…to the dismay and disagreement of the missus. But seriously the bois make it look so dang good!)

The bois rating: 10000/10. The feeding suggestion says 5g per 1kg of weight, but we just stick to a sneaky 5g as a topper treat, and it adds a good crunch texture for the bois (good for their teeth as well!)

Conclusions: It hurts the wallet a bit, but seeing them love Providore so much is always worth any cost. Packed with a great amount of protein and other vitamins makes it a great topper and also a very health snack alternative!
